Lagos Life needs are six meters: Hunger, Energy, Hygiene, Bladder, Fun, Social. They drain while you live in the shared city. Empty meters hurt mood, job performance, skill speed, and can raise illness risk in public notes. Play at lagoslife.app. Shalom Rayhamen. Verified October 7, 2026.
Refill at home furniture, venues, food, sleep, chat. Do it before Phone → Go to work, not after the shift already failed.
| Need | If it tanks | Refill (public notes) |
|---|---|---|
| Hunger | Mood / performance | Eat · buka · home food furniture |
| Energy | Cannot act / worse shifts | Sleep · home bed · rest venues |
| Hygiene | Mood / status | Shower · home bath |
| Bladder | Forced break | Toilet at home or venue |
| Fun | Mood | Venues · events · Owambe trait helps |
| Social | Mood / relationships | Chat · friends · visits |

Feature footage shows Hunger and Energy percentages on the Sim panel next to goals, skills, people, and career. Treat the HUD labels as canon when they differ from this table. Social is not the same as Fun: one is people, one is entertainment.
Starter goals pay you to eat and freshen up first. That is the game teaching the meters. Skip them and the first jobs shift is the tutorial you did not want.

Low Energy or Hunger is the usual “why is my pay small” report. You still clocked in; performance dropped. Music night cards stack Fun drain with late hours. Banking morning cards need a sleep refill the night before. Plan travel: Trek is free and costs Energy you needed for the shift.
Bed, toilet, shower, seating. Buy Mode exists; some items need power. NEPA outages in recaps can block powered furniture. Mushin still has a bed in the feature-tour home screen.
Buka and other venues cost naira. Use them when home furniture is missing, not as a default on a LAPO week. See homes.
Mild: Chemist meds or Agbo. Severe: General Hospital injection. Sickness hits performance. Do not start a promotion grind while the Sim is down. This is not medical advice for real life — it is a game meter.
Go to work with Energy nearly empty. Trek across town then wonder why the shift failed. Ignore Bladder until the character cannot act. Spend Fun at a night venue the evening before a morning bank card. Buy a car for “comfort” instead of a bed.
Before a shift: Energy, Hunger, Bladder, Hygiene. Those four fail a wage. Fun and Social can wait unless they are already on the floor and blocking actions. After a shift: Fun/Social at home if you can, venue if you cannot, never if Saturday is tomorrow and the buka would eat the rent.
Traits change the order. Night Crawler / Lazy Bone let you skimp Energy a little. Clean Pikin lets you skip a shower. Owambe Spirit holds Fun. None of them let you skip sleep forever. Pick traits at create; you do not get a free reroll in public notes.
Travel is an extra Energy cost on top of the six meters. Trek is the Energy tax. Okada is the naira tax. Cab is the panic tax. Plan the commute after you look at the job hours, not after you are already late.
Illness is a needs failure that moved to another panel. Chemist first, hospital if the card says so. Then go back to jobs only when Energy is up. Beginner order: beginner guide.
Worked example: Energy and Hunger are both low, shift in 10 minutes. Sleep or eat first even if it makes you a little late — a late but fed shift still pays more than a crash. If Bladder is also critical, toilet before Trek. Do not Cab “to save Energy” if that Cab is the Saturday buffer.
Next: take the shift on jobs with meters up.
First-week order: beginner guide.
Six: Hunger, Energy, Hygiene, Bladder, Fun, Social.
Low needs and early leave are the first checks before blaming the job card.
No. It costs Energy.
